For snack the other day, Malia taught us all how to do "monster toast." She learned how to do this from her class at summer school. With milk colored with food coloring, they painted some white bread that I then toasted in the toaster oven. It comes out really pretty (and fun to eat)!

Good fun. I can see this as a family tradition. I wonder who in our family remembers Nana's "Okie Toast"--a (cheap) special butter,sugar and cinnamon treat done with the broiler?

I remember Nana's recipe. I actually made a "cooking" video of that recipe with Cathy as the cooking host of the show. She was on camera showing how it was done. Let me know if you want to see the tape. Might still have that somewhere.
