Today, we went to our church's Pioneer Day celebration. This is the day that the Mormon Pioneers entered Salt Lake Valley. There were some games to play like sack races and horse shoe toss but the main event turned out to be the two man saw. Bethany had done it with a friend of hers. Her friend had gotten to take the wood circle and so Bethany and I took a turn so she could have one too. Malia and her friend also had a go as well but they quickly realized that this was work and other people had to step in to finish theirs. The sawing thing wore me out, so I just sat under the shade and let the girls wear themselves out too!

Good report on a fun event. Love the photos of the girlies, especially the action shot of Malia
That is more pioneer events than we did here in SLC. I guess the wards expect us to find other stuff to celebrate. We watched the parade from our living room on channel 5. We did go tuesday and see the floats up close and vote for our favorites. That makes seeing them on TV much more fun.
Then Rycharn went to work and we spent the afternoon with Aaron and Nate at our house playing on the Wii. With Jon and Cathy out of town there wasn't even our typical combined dinner.
Looks like lots of fun. Good Job, Bethany with not giving up. I love the pic of the little girls "pulling" the handcarts.
