Arnie left for Africa this week. I think the weather commemorated the event by having a heat wave so it wouldn't take too much for him to get acclimated once he got there. He flew out of Manchester Regional Airport and I guess they don't see many surfers flying out of here because they had a little bit of trouble getting Arnie's surfing board bag, which carries up to four surfboards and is called a "coffin", onto the small regional airplane. Arnie only had two boards in the bag though and they eventually decided to "stuff" it in for a "small fee", of course.
We have had communications from Arnie since he landed and he is now moved into his apartment, which is in the same building as the Senegal president's son. He has already been scammed into buying a necklace and a shirt and has managed to land on some sea urchins while surfing. With a first week like that, we are on pins and needles to find out what next week has in store for him. He has a blog you can follow as well. It is: http://goingsubsaharan.blogspot.com/

Nice family photo from Happy Lane (a wee too much head room--but was probably a tripod remote). Will look forward to the new chapters in the Little Women of NH Saga. USA Today is keeping me up-to-date with the east coast heat wave. Stay cool!
Well, Arnie's adventure maybe in a foreign country but your's is just beginning. You get to help those Little Women while helping them get to know themselves. I'm sure the more you learn the better you will handle this year. Perhaps, the girls need this chance to grow and improve. I'm sure you will all emerge from this year stronger. We're here if you need us!
good luck meg!!! if you need to talk or anything you can call me. love ya
