Kaitlyn has been counting down until this momentous day for quite some time. She is big into entitlements that are due to one because of age. She has already told me that when she is 16, she is going to have a car and kiss a boy. (Heaven help me!) At least, we have some time before that happens!
Kaitlyn's six birthday party was a small affair. We had cake and ice cream right after lunch with my friend and her three kids also in attendance. She had a couple small gifts from them and she got a scooter from her daddy. Tonight, we made mini pizzas, with each of the girls patting out their dough and then putting their own toppings on it. Malia and Bethany got creative. A couple days ago she got a Build-a-Bear gift card from her grandparents and she picked out one of the special edition ice cream bears, the "Bubble-gum ice cream" bear to be precise. She named her Princess Lily. I wonder if she had her cousin Lily in mind when she named her bear but I haven't asked.
