Patio

One of the projects that we wanted to do was to make a patio out in the back to put our BBQ grill on and make it easier to access it on those occasions. We discovered that this was more expensive than originally thought but we did learn a couple of tricks. Home Depot had similar bricks to the ones we used in the outside garden department of their store for $0.69 per brick. They just had a little black tint to them. Same size and everything. We found these bricks on the exact opposite end of the store in the very last row for $0.35 per brick. We also found this paving sand in the same place and it was 33 cents cheaper than the "paving sand" in the garden section. We figured where these bricks were is where the contractors would look instead of in the usual customer areas.
Arnie and his dad, Arnold, spent this entire morning working on this project and it turned out great.

Malia and Kaitlyn "helping" squish sand between the bricks.

It's fun to see all of the fam working together, including Grandpa Hammari, a handy guy at renovation things.

Nice, seems like a lot of work. Is it very hard? Do you have to do a lot of leveling the ground? Anyway looks nice. Keep posting pictures I like them.
