Ginger cont'd.

Well, there is a need to stay tuned to the Ginger situation. We have an ad in the newspaper that will run Sunday and Monday. I had no idea how much it costs to have an ad in the newspaper! I had tried online with Craigslist but my listing got flagged and removed twice because they don't allow you to sell pets on Craigslist. You can "re-home" with a "small" adoption fee but I guess I would like more for Ginger than is allowed. This whole experience made me very wary about selling her at all. She isn't a bad dog. She chews up anything she takes a fancy to. Packing peanuts are particularly appealing....yeah. Don't ask me why. At any rate, my intent in purchasing her in the first place was to keep her through thick and thin. So most likely we'll end up keeping her after all this emotional turmoil. Wish me luck and endurance. :)

Rock at the park

Friday, we went to the newly renovated Humphrey Park in Derry. Not only did it have this cool rock to give mothers a heart condition, it had a cool sprinkler water feature. It is like home sprinklers times ten and much cooler. It was truly a watering place (pun intended) for all the girls' friends. My girls were pretty upset at me however because I had them get out of the sprinkler attire at home to come to the park. It was inevitable that they were going to get wet despite not having swimming suits on or having towels to dry off with. To defend myself, I had no idea about the water feature.

Ginger

Well, I have realized that I haven't taken pictures of Ginger in a while. Unfortunately, I took these pictures for the sad purpose of selling Ginger to a new family.

"Take a picture, it lasts longer!"

I have found that this statement rings so true in the case of my flowers. Ginger, our dog, must have something against flowers in general or something because every time something blooms, she tramples on it or chews it up. Finding this to be inevitable, I have decided to take a picture of the flowers as they bloom so they will truly last longer than say 5 minutes.

My lily

Can We Say "BAT!" people?!!!

Well, we have had our share of nature but I draw the line at bats! I didn't enjoy opening the door to my basement and seeing a rather large dark thing crawling on my wall that then begins dive bombing my dog! After the initial screams, the girls thought the kamakaze bat antics to be very entertaining. Yeah, Me? Not so much. I am taking these pictures while trying to keep the dog from eating the bat and keep the girls from getting too close. They were all wondering if "Stellaluna" had come to visit. Not with those teeth. Arnie managed to find a shoe box with a lid to scoop it up with. It was then released back in the wild, thank heaven.

Can you see those teeth?!!!
