After a lot of rain and our first snow fall, this is what has arisen in my backyard, a Snow Swamp! Arnie is thinking of making a dam in the spring to hold back the flood waters in the future.
That is quite the swampland. Hope there is a way to provide a run-off headed away from your house. Perhaps our gopher could help you, we'd be happy to let you have him :)

We enjoy seeing the seasons at yout casa (as we sit around the computer wearing shorts in the SoCal sun).
