Kaitlyn's Bus!

Kaitlyn gets to go to Moose Hill Elementary School on Mondays and Wednesdays for help with her speech and language delay. It is only in the morning for two hours but this wonderful school district provides a bus that comes right to the front of our house and picks her up. She is so excited and loves going to her "Moose School."

Daddy and Kaitlyn waiting out in the chilly morning for her bus to come.

Kaitlyn trudging up the hill to get on her beloved bus! She is a big girl now!
Well, not as big as the backpack perhaps.

Our kids have all had the chance to get extra schooling, most of them for speech and language delays. Chris, of course, had other issues. But the kids all got picked up by a school bus. We love door-to-door busing, it is a great service. Chris still has that service. But at age 3, they all started school 2 days a week, at 4 they got to go 4 days a week.
Early intervention is really a great thing for kids, just ask Cathy.

Reminds us of the stories folks tell of truging to school, "uphill both ways". Bless that girl!

Glad to hear that Kaitlyn is able to go to school to help her speech and language delays. You will see an amazing difference!!! Is she in a class with typically develping peers as well as special education children? The school district that I teach in is very much pro inclusion which allows children with special needs whether it is speech/language delays, develpmental delays, autism, etc.. to be with their typical peers. They also have classes for children who need to be in a self contained class which is all special education children. I love early intervention!!!
