Over the weekend, I got to go to Utah and take pictures of my beautiful niece, Jenny get married to Sam Farnsworth. I went alone leaving the kids in NH with Arnie so that I could give my full attention to the task. And I needed it. There were around sixty people present at the temple and to make things even more interesting it was 100 degrees at high noon with 15-20 mile an hour wind blowing up my skirt. Even so I was pleased with several of the shots that I managed to get of the happy couple.

Family Portraits
For Father's day, I took all the girls (and the dog) to a new park I found and took family photos and portraits of them in order to update my wall. Poor Jessica didn't even have a single picture on the wall. Not even a baby picture! Well, I am happy to say that JCPenney isn't going to be getting any more money from me for portraits! I am so excited how these turned out. Although, I had forgotten the cardinal rule that you should never try to take pictures of both children and animals at the same time. We survived however and I am grateful that our ABA tutor, Ashley was along for extra support and to take pictures with me in them :)

Malia's birthday cupcakes
Malia turned 11 years old today. It was a totally cupcake filled day, from her shirt to the cupcakes I brought her class at school to the gourmet cupcakes her ABA tutor brought this afternoon. Malia has been looking forward to this birthday for a while. She has been saving up her allowance and counting on birthday money in order to buy a Nintendo DS hand held game system. While she didn't earn enough to buy a brand new one, she found a lightly used one on Amazon with a guarantee for a great price which also left enough money for a Pokemon game to go with it! We are so proud of her! Happy birthday Malia!!
Shhh! We're writing the Constitution
Last week, Malia's class performed a musical about the process of writing our great nation's Constitution. She and the girl standing next to her in the first photo opened the musical with a duet. We are so proud of her and her class. Their show was filmed by the local public access television station and they made the front page of the Londonderry newspaper!
Easter Egg run
We found out the hard (boiled) way that when the Easter bunny leaves real hard boiled eggs outside for the kids to find, don't let the dog out before the kids! Unfortunately, one of the eggs, shell and all, was devoured before I was able to rally all the children in the early morn of Easter, throw their jackets and boots on and kick them out the door.
Lt loved bounding all over the yard as the kids raced to find all the eggs before he did. It definitely added an element of urgency to the task. The girls did very well and saved all the rest of them from the crazy egg eating Labrador retriever!

LT's Birthday
On March 1st, our yellow lab, Lieutenant (or LT) turned 3 years old. The girls insisted we throw him a party. I managed to find seven yellow cupcakes at the store (no chocolate, of course) and it was Malia's idea to top it with the milk bone. LT didn't waste anytime wolfing it down. His present was a camouflage colored rope toy.
He is very good dog. We are happy to have him in our family and hope he is happy too.
